PhD student Fabrice Bationo, from IRSAT (Burkina-Faso), will be hosted for 10 months at the University of Helsinki (Finland) , from February 2017 to December 2017. He will study fermented foods from Burkina-Faso and Finland, will be trained on folate vitamers analysis by HPLC, and will work on the adaptation of a method for the study of folate bioaccessibility, using in vitro digestion.
Before that, Fabrice had already been hosted for 6 months at IRD in Montpellier (France) , from November 2015 to February 2016, and then from September to November 2016. He carried out the analysis of the total folate content in fermented food samples from Burkina-Faso, and was trained on molecular biology techniques, and trained on the use of in vitro digestion.
